PLANT MACHINERIES

The plant employs state-of-the-art technology, incorporating Hydraulic Pressure Grinding Rollers (HPGR) for pre-grinding and a conventional Ball Mill for finish grinding, ensuring high energy efficiency.

To maintain superior quality, raw materials are precisely fed using highly accurate electronic weigh feeders. Both the HPGR and Ball Mill operate in a closed-circuit configuration with high-efficiency separators, ensuring consistent cement quality.

The plant boasts a grinding capacity of 240 tons per hour (TPH), producing cement with a fineness of 3200 to 3300 Blaine, which ensures excellent early strength.

Through innovative upgrades and modifications, the plant’s capacity has been enhanced to 280 TPH. This 17% increase in production efficiency is complemented by a 25% reduction in power consumption, making the operation significantly more energy efficient. As a result, the plant now achieves the lowest power consumption for cement production in Oman.

PACKING AND DISPATCH

Objectives of SCF:

  • Ensuring accurate weight for all cement bags.
  • Minimizing truck loading time.
  • Reducing truck waiting time upon entering the plant.

The packing plant is equipped with advanced European-imported machinery, including a bag applicator, packing machines, and truck loading machines. To uphold quality standards, any underweight cement bag is automatically diverted, crushed, and recycled back into the system.

SCF features three packing machines with a combined capacity of 360 TPH (120 TPH each). To expedite truck dispatch, the plant utilizes four truck loading machines, each with a capacity of 120 TPH (totaling 360 TPH), and four bulk loading machines with a combined capacity of 600 TPH (150 TPH each).

Altogether, the plant achieves an impressive total packing and loading capacity of 1,000 tons per hour. This efficiency is made possible by the integration of automatic empty bag loaders and pneumatically operated truck loading systems.

This is the first plant of its kind in both Oman and the UAE, setting new benchmarks for operational efficiency and innovation.

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE

SCF is dedicated to making the plant eco-friendly, with all machinery fully enclosed to ensure zero dust emissions, from raw material storage to cement bag dispatch.

The plant employs advanced bag filters for pollution control, adhering to international emission standards of less than 30 mg/Nm³. These bag filters are equipped with an online maintenance system, allowing continuous operation while ensuring minimal dust emissions. This reflects SCF’s commitment to achieving zero dust emissions across the facility.

As part of its sustainability initiatives, SCF has introduced Samhan Cement, an environmentally friendly CEM II-42.5N cement with a lower clinker factor compared to competitors. This results in significantly reduced CO₂ emissions.

Additionally, SCF incorporates specialty chemicals in its production process to create high-strength cement with reduced clinker usage, further minimizing the environmental footprint. These innovations position SCF as a leader in sustainable and eco-friendly cement production.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

SCF is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment imported from Europe, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards for cement production.

In addition to conventional laboratory tools, SCF utilizes advanced technologies such as an X-Ray Analyzer and a Particle Size Distribution Analyzer. These tools ensure strict adherence to quality parameters, guaranteeing that every batch of cement manufactured at SCF meets rigorous standards of excellence.
